Dan's note: In
The Statue Gerald Smith refers to Mr. Corrigan becoming the next
President of Lago after his father, L. G. Smith. He further states
that Mr. Corrigan had La Casa Grand razed. There is a couple of
errors that need to cleared up. I believe Gerald is referring to
Mr. J. J. Horigan who did become the next President of Lago after Mr.
Smith retired. The Horigan's did live in La Casa Grand until Mr.
Horigan retired and the position of President passed to Mr. O. S.
Mingus. It was Mr. Mingus who had La Casa Grande razed. |
