GUNS AT COLORADO POINT
IN WW-II |
During World War II guns were
placed on Colorado Point to defend the island. As well as these guns other
guns were located around the island as well as searchlights for spotting ships
at sea. Today, all that is left of the guns on Colorado Point are their foundations, still
visible with cactus growing up inside the foundation. The following
photographs were taken by Steve Fremgen in 2004 |
