TWO BOOK IN THE MAKING
Dufi Kock, who lives in Aruba,  has told me he is working on two books about Aruba and World War II.  One book will cover the German ship Antilla which was scuttled by her crew and lies off of the northwest coast of Aruba and today is a favort spot for SCUBA divers.
The other book will cover the German torpedo that landed on Eagle Beach and then exploded when four Dutch Marines tried to disarm the torpedo.
Dufi informs me that both books will be written in both Papiamento and English.
Dufi has sent some of the photos that he intends to use in the book.  The photos of the graves of the four that were killed when the tropedo exploded were obtained from The Netherlands War Graves Foundation.
Dufi would also like to thank Mr. Olga van der Klooster and Mr. Michel Bakker for their contributions to the books he is now writing.
The following four photos are the grave markers of the men killed trying to disarm the torpedo, these graves are in the Netherlands.
The next photo is of the entrance to San Pedro Hospital in Oranjestad and which played a part, but of course you will have to read the books when they are published.
No date has been set for the printing of these books as soo as this is know this web site will inform you.
